I feel your pain. I am a driver/operator, structural I & II certified and a wildland firefighter. I didn't join the local volunteer department because I got laughed out of their open meeting. I even showed my certs. I woked in a major national park and fought more fires in one year than the hicks in my hometown have in their 20 year careers. I totally know what you mean.

I think its awesome that you are a fire fighter!! And YES WEtv should air anything that is empowering to females. For Centuries woman have been the foot stool for men, times need to continue to change, because thats not cool. If there were any guys out there that were worthy of a woman waiting hand and foot on them then it would be a different story. No I don't hate men on the contrary I think happiness, joy and peace, love should be experienced by all. This is no longer "a man's world" =)

Whatever happened to the old adage “women and children first”? It has always been my position that it is the responsibility of men to protect and defend women and children. Has society truly lost all of it’s’ values? What kind of men allow women to put themselves in harms way and risk their lives running into burning buildings and other hazardous situations? WE tv should not air an episode on female firefighters because they shouldn't be condoning such actions.

We tv should definately do a show on female firefighters... then one on female cops, and women in the service.
